Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS)

The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) is a government organ with a status of independent Department established specifically to facilitate the recruitment process of employees to the Public Service.

PSRS’s primary function is to make public service recruitment easier. As per Section 29 (1) of Public Service Cap. 298 of 2002, as modified by Amendment Act No. 18 of 2007.

Open Positions and Description:

1. Assistant Dental Officer – 1 POST
Employer:
 Jeshi la Polisi Tanzania

Responsibilities

  • Acquisition, maintenance, and upkeep of dental equipment and supplies.
  • To make partial dentures, a dental prosthetic.
  • Must carry out any additional tasks that the supervisor assigns that are relevant to their work.

2. Assistant Technologist (Pharmacy) – 2 POST
Employer:
 Wizara ya Ulinzi na Jeshi la Kujenga Taifa

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining records of drugs and medical equipment; and
  • Performing other duties assigned by their supervisor related to their education, experience, and skills.

3. Assistant Technologist (Lab) – 5 POST
Employer: Wizara ya Ulinzi na Jeshi la Kujenga Taifa

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Storing all samples requiring preservation according to procedures after investigation; and
  • Performing other duties assigned by their supervisor related to their education, experience, and skills.

4. Doctor Assistant II – 5 POST
Employer:
 Wizara ya Ulinzi na Jeshi la Kujenga Taifa

Qualification

  • Employment of individuals with an Advanced Diploma in Medicine from a government-recognized institution who hold a license to practice issued by the Medical Council of Tanganyika, along with a minimum of three years of work experience.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  1. All candidates must be Tanzanian citizens and be no older than 45, with the exception of those employed by the government;
  2. Individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply and should specify their needs in the Ajira portal for the attention of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.
  3. A current Curriculum Vitae (CV) with dependable connections, including a mailing address and postcode, email address, and phone number, must be attached.
  4. On the basis of the information provided in this advertisement, applicants should apply;
  5. Applicants must attach their certified copies of the following certificates: –
    • Certificates and transcripts related to postgraduate studies, advanced diplomas, diplomas, and certificates
    • Certificates of Form IV and VI National Examinations
    • Certificates of Professional Registration and Training from the relevant Regulatory or Registration Bodies, if appropriate
    • birth certificate
    • It is definitely prohibited to attach copies of the following certificates: -Results slips for Forms IV and VI;
    • Testimonies as well as any incomplete transcripts
    • A current passport-size photo must be uploaded by the applicant through the recruitment portal.
  6. A candidate working in the public sector should send his application letter via his company;
  7. An applicant should not apply if they are retired from the public service for any reason;
  8. An applicant must list three credible references together with their trustworthy contact information;
  9. The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) should validate certificates from international examination bodies for education at the Ordinary or Advanced level;
  10. The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) should verify professional diplomas from foreign universities and other training institutions.
  11. Send a signed letter of application to Dr. Asha Rose Migiro, Secretary, Presidents Office, Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, P.O. Box 2320, Utumishi Building, University of Dodoma. The letter should be prepared in either Swahili or English.
