Tanzania Cotton Board (TCB)
The Tanzania Cotton Board is a Government Institution with the responsibility and authority to coordinate and manage the procedures and regulations for cotton cultivation in all regions of the country.
The Cotton Development Fund (CDF), which was created under the authority of the Cotton Industry Act No. 2 of 2001, has been replaced by the Fund. The Memorandum of Understanding, signed on April 21, 2006, stated the preferences of the Cotton Industry Stakeholders, which guided the creation of the Fund.
The Cotton Development Trust Fund under TCB is seeking young, vibrant, and qualified Tanzanians on a contract basis to fill the following open post.
Open Positions and Description:
1. Procurement Officer – 1 POST
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Procurement and Supplies Management, Logistics Management, or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution is required. Additionally, the candidate must be registered with PSPTB as a Graduate Procurement and Supplies Officer and have had relevant work experience.
Responsibilities:
- To handle the acquisition or supply control of specific stock lines;
- To support the forwarding and clearing processes;
- To maintain documentation and reporting on all executed procurement tasks
- To assist in carrying out the Tender Board’s duties;
- The candidate must have good communication skills
2. Store Officer – 1 POST
Experience
Holder of Bachelor Degree in any of the following field; Materials Management, Logistics Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution with working experience in related field.
Responsibilities:
- Making bin cards and keeping ledger records in storage;
- To support the implementation of physical distribution;
- To preserve the design of the location index;
- To conduct annual stock taking and ongoing stock checks;
- To help with the quarterly report preparation;
- To support the forwarding and clearing processes;
- To support the documentation and reporting of all procurement activities
- To provide a monthly report on all card and physical balances from retailers;
- To carry out a stock review;
- To carry out any additional tasks that his or her supervisor may designate.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
- A current passport-size photo and a Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a working email address, phone number(s), and postal address are required attachments for applicants.
- The following complete, certified copies of the applicants’ academic certificates must be attached:
- Degrees and professional certificates
- Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates
- Birth Certificate or National Identity Card
- Results slips on Forms IV and VI are strictly not acceptable. Legal action will be required if falsified academic credentials and other facts are shown on the resume.
- In their CV, applicants should list three credible references along with their trustworthy contact information.
- The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) or the National Accreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE) should verify international university certifications, if they are non-degree certificates.
