Mbulu, a town in northern Tanzania, is sometimes referred to as Imboru by Iraqw speakers. The town serves as the hub for Tanzania’s minority cushitic speakers, or iraqw people. The Executive Director of Mbulu District Council announces four job vacancies for qualified Tanzanians to fill these positions in response to the issuance of the Alternative Employment Permit with Reference No. FA.228/613/01/A/072 dated March 25, 2024, from the Secretary-General of the Office of the President for Public Service Management and Good Governance:

Open Positions and Description

1. Village Executive Officer II – 3 Positions

  • The local government’s main executive and bookkeeper;
  • Oversee the village’s good governance, peacekeeping efforts, and the protection of residents and their property;
  • Organize and oversee the creation of strategies for village development;
  • Secretary for all village council committees and meetings;
  • Interpret and uphold laws, rules, and regulations;
  • Create implementation reports for the projects they are involved in, and encourage locals to come up with and carry out plans to end hunger, combat poverty, and boost production.
  • Head of the village’s technical department heads;
  • Oversee, gather, and preserve all village records and paperwork;
  • Meeting chairman for the village’s technical committee
  • Take in, consider, and address grievances and disputes from the public.
  • The Local Government Training Institute Hombolo, Dodoma, or any other government-approved institution must grant a Certificate or Diploma in Administration, Law, Social Education, Financial Management, Community Development, or Arts Science in order for an applicant to be hired. Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) education is also required.

2. Driver II

  • Examine the car both before and after a trip to ascertain its safety condition;
  • Transport workers on official business travels to different sites;
  • Carry out simple auto maintenance;
  • Gather and disperse different documents;
  • Complete and preserve the travel journal with trip details;
  • Tidy up the car;
  • carry out additional tasks as assigned by the work supervisor.
