Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE)

Part of the University of Dar es Salaam, which was established in 2005, is the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE). According to the 2010 Regulations and the Dar es Salaam University College of Education Charter, the College’s main duties are to offer integrated teaching, research, and public services.

The College welcomes eligible public officials to apply for transfer in order to improve teaching, research, and public service delivery at DUCE.

Responsibilities:

To guarantee that all accounting records are filed correctly;
To create bills from invoices;
To create schedules and reconciliations for revenue accounts;
To create monthly pay stubs for every worker and maintain payroll registries and documentation;
To create authorized lists in order to pay employees cash or to transfer net salary to each employee’s bank;
Keeping track of staff advances, loans, and impress related to duty travel in the employees’ ledger; (vii) To follow up on unpaid balances;
To accurately and regularly maintain debtors’ registers;
Overseeing the banking of any checks received by the college; and (x) carrying out any additional responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor in this regard.

Qualifications:

Possess a Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in one of the following fields: business administration, finance, accounting, or equivalent qualifications from accredited universities; additionally, you must have at least four years of relevant work experience in a related field and be certified as a CPA (T), ACCA, ACA, or CIA. Needs to be NBAA registered.

Accountant I Salary Scale: PGSS 8

Accountant II Salary scale: PGSS 7
