For the purpose of filling ninety-three (93) open positions as listed below, the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) on behalf of Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) is inviting exceptional, results-oriented, self-driven professionals with integrity, dynamic, and qualified Tanzanians;
Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA)
Under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, the Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) are a division of the Wildlife and Forest Conservation Service (WFCS).
In order to preserve the nation’s heritage, which includes both tangible and intangible resource values, such as the wildlife habitat, flora and fauna, natural processes, wilderness quality, and scenery, the organization is required to manage and regulate the use of areas designated as National Parks.
Additionally, the organization must ensure that human benefit and enjoyment of these areas is provided in a way that will not compromise them for future generations. 21 National Parks are currently under the management of TANAPA and are a part of larger protected ecosystems that have been set aside to protect Tanzania’s unique natural heritage.
Open Positions and Description:
1. Conservation Officer II – Accountant – 1 POST
Conservation Officer II Duties
- Keeping up with accounting books and related documents;
- Ensuring that revenue is collected in a proper manner.
- Ensuring that organization money are spent appropriately;
2. Conservation Officer II – Accounts – 5 POSTS
Accounts Duties
- Help with the upkeep of related documents and books of accounts; ii. Prepare trial balance and bank reconciliation statements on a monthly basis.
- Checking the accounting statements provided by creditors and debtors
3. Conservation Ranger III – Nursing – 1 POST
Conservation Ranger Duties
- Giving patients their recommended drugs and therapies;
- Setting up equipment and helping a medical professional treat and examine a patient;
- Giving patients clear instructions on procedures and treatments will help them cooperate, understand, and feel less anxious.
4. Human Resources And Administration – 5 POSTS
HR Duties
- Creating, maintaining, evaluating, and overseeing an HR database;
- Managing the staff compensation program and creating the monthly and annual personnel
5. Information Communication Technology – Programmer – 1 POST
ICT Duties
- Conduct research and create plans and requirements for technical software.
- Examine user needs, then translate them into design documentation.
6. Office Management – 6 POSTS
Office Management Duties
- Writing, editing, and revising memos, reports, and letters; creating graphs, charts, and other working documents for organizations;
- Keeping a current office journal for the relevant supervisor.
7. Civil Technician – 2 POSTS
Civil Technician Duties
- Overseeing and completing building and upkeep tasks in the park
- Evaluating systems and creating plans for preventive maintenance
- Keeping up-to-date records for maintenance and construction.
8. Mechanical Technician – 1 POST
- Examining and setting up the timetable for preventive maintenance on plants, boats, engines, cars, equipment, and tools;
- Overseeing the application of the heavy machinery, vehicle, and machine preventative and predictive maintenance schedule;
- Evaluating and confirming the need for repairs and maintenance on machinery, heavy equipment, and cars.

9. Procurement/Supplies – 3 POSTS
- Helping to keep and update procurement records
- Take receipt of and file supplier invoices.
- Helping to prepare procurement requirements based on user departments’ requests.
Diploma in Procurement and Supplies Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
10. Conservation Ranger III – Accounts – 15 POSTS
- Getting ready and paying a check
- Getting payment vouchers ready
- Keeping petty cash in check
- Keeping up a check register
Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a Certificate in Accounting from a recognized institution.
11. Wildlife Management – Law Enforcement – 4 POSTS
- Patrolling the park’s perimeter and inside
- Securing the safety of guests, employees, and their belongings
- Enforcing the laws, rules, and regulations of national parks;
A one-year National Service Certificate, a Basic or Technician Certificate in an area connected to wildlife, or similar credentials from an accredited institution must be combined with a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE).
12. Driving – 22 POSTS
- Operating designated motor vehicles, making sure the car, its occupants, and its cargo are secure both on and off the road;
- Keeping track of fuel, oil, and spare components in accordance with established protocols;
- Performing preventative maintenance, reporting on identified system failures, and performing routine system checks on the vehicles;
Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a valid Driving License Class E and C with a Certificate in Motor Vehicle Driving or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
13. Artisan – Mechanics – 5 POSTS
- Determining the extra parts needed for the task at hand in light of one’s area of expertise.
- Carrying out regular and preventative maintenance on boats, machinery, and automobiles.
- Carrying out both basic and significant repairs.
Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with Trade Test Grade II or Relevant CBET Level II in Motor Vehicles Mechanics from a recognized training
14. Attendant – 14 POSTS
- Ensuring that beds are properly maintained;
- Offering a laundromat;
- Dusting, wiping, and making sure homes and tourist attractions are tidy.
A recognized institution’s Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with passes in both English and Kiswahili, as well as a Basic Technician Certificate NTA level 4 in one of the following fields: housekeeping, food production, office attendant, and cleaning.
15. Conservation Assistant II – Multimedia Projection – 3 POSTS
- Gathering, combining, and creating multimedia content.
- Creating digital artwork and pictures for animation scenes;
- Digital audio/video file editing and manipulation.
Diploma in video/film production qualifications from a recognized institution.
16. Medical Laboratory – 1 POST
- Gathering samples or specimens from patients for testing;
- Creating and carrying out clinical laboratory tests and sample examinations;
- Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of samples, ongoing laboratory studies, and investigation outcomes
- Ensuring adequate storage of clinical laboratory samples, reagents, and other chemicals.
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized institution and must be registered by the Health Laboratory Practitioners’ Council (HLPC).
17. Wildlife Management-Tourism – 4 POST
- Welcoming and caring for park visitors;
- Providing guidance and interpretation to guests during activities such as walking safaris, mountain treks, game viewing, and other tourism pursuits.
- Assembling and compiling reports on daily visits
- Taking part in events aimed at promoting tourism.
Diploma in either of the following fields; Wildlife Management, Conservation Science, Wildlife Tourism from a recognized institution.
