public notice regarding form four graduates of 2023 to make changes to form five specializations and college courses via online platform on the student selection electronic system for form five and colleges for the year 2024.
Dear Members of the Press,
Today, I have called you here to provide important information to the Form Four graduates of 2023 regarding the opportunity to change their choices of Form Five Specializations and Courses for Teachers’ Colleges, Vocational Training Colleges, and Technical Education Colleges through the electronic student selection system for students joining Form Five and Colleges. This is in preparation for the preliminary student selection for Form Five and Government Colleges for the year 2024.
It is worth noting that the government has been providing an opportunity for Form Four graduates to make changes to their specialization choices and various courses they selected through the Student Election Form (Selform). This opportunity allows students to adjust their choices based on the results of the Form Four National Examination results announced by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
Through the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), the government has completed the preliminary process of entering the data from the Student Election Forms into the database as filled out by students while they were in school.
Furthermore, it should be noted that the changes in the Education and Training Policy of the Year 2014, Edition of 2023, and the Curriculum for Form Five have commenced implementation, which includes the introduction of 49 new specializations, increasing from the previous 16 to a total of 65.
These new specializations, which will commence in July 2024, are categorized into seven groups: Social Science Specializations; Language Specializations; Business Studies Specializations; Science Specializations; Sports Specializations; Arts Specializations; and Religious Education Specializations. The list of subjects and specializations that will begin in July 2024 is attached for your reference (Refer to Attachment No. 1).
The completion of this process provides an opportunity for students to make changes to their choices/specializations/courses online. After students make their adjustments, this database will be used to select and allocate positions for Form Five and various courses in Colleges of Central and Technical Education, considering their qualifications and choices.

Form Four graduates are encouraged to make changes to their specialization and course choices based on their qualifications by accessing the Student Selection Management Information System (MIS) available through the link selform.tamisemi.go.tz.

To access the system, the graduate will need to use their Form Four Examination Number for the year 2023, their Last Name, Year of Birth, and the Grade they obtained in the subject they are asked about by the system or any other question they are asked.
