Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE)
The Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) is a Constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam established in 2005. The main functions of the College, as stipulated in the Dar es Salaam University College of Education Charter and the Rules of 2010, are to provide integrated teaching, research and public service.
To enhance effective teaching and learning, research and provision of public services, the College invites applications from suitable qualified Tanzanians to fill the following advertised vacant positions:
Open Positions and Description:
1. Teacher III B (English Language) – 1 POST
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assign and grade exams for students.
- To evaluate pupils’ progress and outcomes.
- To plan and maintain student assessments that are ongoing.
- To keep an eye on students’ exams;
- To prepare student performance records and provide support for their appropriate storage;
- To arrange the schedule for the test and assign rooms;
- Must carry out any additional tasks that are allocated by their supervisor in relation to their work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Possessing a diploma in education and an advanced certificate of secondary education examination (Form 6) from accredited schools, with English language instruction among their fields of study.
SALARY SCALE: PSTS 2.1
2. Teacher III B (Civic and Moral; and Social Studies) – 1 POST
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Possessing a diploma in education and an advanced certificate of secondary education examination (Form 6) from accredited schools, together with a teaching certificate in geography or history, among other disciplines.
SALARY SCALE: PSTS 2.1
3.3 TEACHER III B (Commerce and Book Keeping), 2 POSTS
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Possessing a diploma in education with commerce and bookkeeping as teaching topics, as well as any other disciplines from accredited schools, and an advanced certificate of secondary education examination (Form 6).
SALARY SCALE: PSTS 2.3
