The Zanzibar Social Security Fund (ZSSF) was established by Act No. 2 of 1998 and was amended and re-established by Act No. 2 of 2005 together with its amendments of 2016, to enhance the efficiency in the implementation of the Zanzibar Social Security Fund’s (ZSSF) responsibilities.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Zanzibar Social Security Fund (ZSSF), the Director-General of the Zanzibar Social Security Fund announces job openings for a variety of cadres, which any competent Zanzibari may apply to fill as detailed in this announcement.
The advertised positions are as follows:
Open Positions and Description:
1. Social Security Officer – 6 POSTS
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in social security, economics, human resources, accounting, finance, social welfare, law, planning, or a comparable topic from a Zanzibar institution with government recognition is required of the applicant.
- Carrying out recurring monitoring audits of member registrations and contributions.
- Carrying out institutional registration audits.
2. Investment Officer – 1 POSITION (Unguja)
Responsibilities:
- Creating a range of investment initiatives.
- Supervising and keeping an eye on maintenance for investment projects.
- Keeping an eye on how investment initiatives are collecting money.
- Keeping an eye on the execution of investment contracts and Fund-provided rules.
3. Planning Officer – 3 POSITIONS (Unguja)
Responsibilities
- Creating a yearly work schedule for the upcoming fiscal year.
- Creating the Social Security Fund’s Revenue and Expense Estimates.
- assessing how the Fund’s strategies and initiatives are being carried out.
- Evaluating institution goals and strategies in light of the national master plan.
- Creating the work plan and strategy plan for the Fund and directing its execution.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- The candidate must be a Zanzibari, ages 18 to 45.
- Certified copies of the applicant’s birth certificate, academic transcripts, and Zanzibar resident ID are required.
- The Commissioner for Oaths or the Court must authenticate each of the aforementioned certifications.
- The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) must verify the credentials of applicants who hold degrees from overseas universities.
- Statements of Results or Progressive Reports submitted by applicants will not be taken into consideration.
- A thorough curriculum vitae including the names of three referees, addresses, and contact information must be included by the candidate.
- The candidate shouldn’t submit more than one application for a job.
- The candidate cannot work for the government.
- Pemba applicants ought to make clear in their cover letters.
- Candidates with more advanced undergraduate training (Degree) and specialized professions (e.g., CPA) will be given priority.
