The Chief Executive of TANROADS, through the Regional Manager TANROADS Coast, is seeking a suitably qualified and competent Tanzanian to fill the position of Resident Engineer for the ongoing project in the Coast Region, which involves upgrading Nyamwage – Utete Road (33.7 km) to bitumen standards and building the Mbambe Bridge (81m) and its approach roads (3.0 km) to bitumen standards.
To oversee the development of airports and the country’s road network by planning, building, and maintaining roadways for socioeconomic growth using skilled labor.
Open Positions and Description:
1. Senior Engineer (Highway) – 1 POST
Construction Of Mbambe Bridge (81m) And Its Approach Roads (3.0km) To Bitumen Standard.
Responsibilities:
- The highway engineer will be solely in charge of overseeing the construction in compliance with the terms stated in the contract.
- With care, efficiency, and adherence to good technical, administrative, financial, and economic procedures, they will oversee the construction projects.
- In order to guarantee that only the best construction practices are used, that the finished product is in every way equal to or better than that specified, at the most affordable costs, and that it is completed in full compliance with the governing specifications, they will carry out all duties related to such tasks.
2. Materials Engineer – 1 POST
Construction Of Tamco – Mapinga Road (81m) And Its Approach Roads (3.0km) To Bitumen Standard.
Responsibilities:
- In order to achieve the best possible design and construction strategy, the Soils/Materials Engineer will be in charge of managing and carrying out the materials investigation.
- The pavement design will be completed by the soil/materials engineer, who must be knowledgeable with the most recent testing and pavement construction methods.
3. Resident Engineer – 1 POST
Upgrading Of Nyamwage – Utete Road (33.7 Km) To Bitumen Standard
Qualification:
- Must hold a degree in civil engineering and be a registered civil engineer.

- A minimum of ten (10) years of specialized experience in the design and construction of roads and bridges is required.
Responsibilities:
