1. Procurement Assistant Internship Opportunities T-412

Reporting to: Procurement Coordinator.

Location: Dar ES Salaam, Tanzania.

Responsibilities:

Help with the organization’s purchases of consumables, packaging, health products, advertising materials, and services.
Verifies timely and accurate conversion of purchase requisitions into purchase orders.
Confirms the requested department’s specifications to make sure the right products or services are ordered.
Help the procurement coordinator by helping to solicit, assess, and assemble quotes from both domestic and international suppliers. You should also ensure that the bids are approved by the appropriate signatories and budget holders before placing orders.
Seeks the best deal possible on the terms of payment, delivery, quality, and pricing.
Creates purchase orders using the QBE system, making sure the appropriate procurement signatories have approved them before confirming the orders with vendors.
Ensures prompt delivery by keeping user divisions and departments informed about the status of their orders and by following up with suppliers.

Qualification:

A degree in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
Either a recent graduate or one year of experience working in the social/health or non-profit sectors of supply chains.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
