The goal is to create a market idea that will encourage more farmers to use fertilizer by enhancing plant nutrition knowledge, distribution, and logistics. Building a 40 KT bulk terminal close to Dar es Salaam Port, which manages the importing, packing, and distribution of bulk fertilizer to Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi, is one of Yara’s investments in the nation.

Located in Dar es Salaam, the dispatch specialist position oversees all facets of terminal goods logistics and safety.

Responsibilities

Using internal sales processes, oversee all product dispatch logistics, including security.
Make sure that the 5S and Yara Safety rules are followed when doing individual and team tasks.
Keep the weight and quantity of bags loaded per truck or wagon accurate.
Maintain positive working relationships with contractors assigned to the dispatch process, including loading trucks and wagons.
Establish and preserve cooperative working relationships with loading supervisors, drivers, and other dispatch function stakeholders.
Lead, inspire, and support the dispatch team to maintain a high level of morale and productivity.

Requirement

A degree from university in materials management or a similar discipline.
A minimum of five years’ experience working in a material handling supply chain setting.
Proficient in both Swahili and English.

Additional Information

competent with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint from Microsoft Office.

At least three years of experience working for a multinational company that strictly adheres to international safety regulations.
