Water Institute (WI)

According to the Executive Agencies Act (art. 245), the Water Institute (WI) is a higher education institution and a government executive agency that was founded by Government Notice No. 138 of August 22, 2008.

In accordance with the Ministry of Water’s policy guidelines, the Institute’s mission is to offer high-quality knowledge in the water sector through technical education, training, research, and consulting services.

1. ASSISTANT LECTURER – HYDROGEOLOGY 1 POST (RE – ADVERTISED)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Up to NTA level 8 (Bachelor’s Degree) of instruction
To carry out tutorials and hands-on activities for pupils
To create educational materials
To carry out experiments in innovation and research
In order to provide advisory and outreach/community services, additionally
To carry out any additional tasks that the Institute’s appropriate authorities assign you

QUALIFICATION

The individual holds a Master’s degree (NTA Level 9) in one of the following fields: geology, engineering, hydrogeology and drilling, applied geology, and related fields. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor degree (NTA Level 8) in the same fields, with a GPA of at least 3.5 (out of 5.0) in the bachelor’s degree.

2. TUTORIAL ASSISTANT – WATER RESOURCES AND IRRIGATION

DUTIES

Teaching up to NTA level 6 (Ordinary Diploma), with the possibility of helping with higher level instruction
To carry out tutorials and hands-on activities for pupils
To create educational materials
To carry out experiments in innovation and research
To provide advisory and outreach/community services
To carry out any additional tasks that the Institute’s appropriate authorities assign you

QUALIFICATION

3.5 (out of 5.0) GPA and above in Water Resources and Irrigation Engineering or a similar discipline, or a Bachelor’s Degree (NTA Level 8) or its equivalent certification from accredited institutions.

3. TUTOR II – WATER RESOURCES AND IRRIGATION ENGINEERING 1 POST (RE – ADVERTISED)

QUALIFICATION:

Holder of Bachelor Degree (NTA Level 8) or its equivalent qualification in Water Resources and Irrigation Engineering or related field from recognized Institutions.

REMUNERATION: PTSS 10
