Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA)

The National Accreditation Council for Technical Education Tanzania (NACTVET) has granted the Institute accreditation. Its seven campuses are situated in Dar es Salaam, Mbeya, Singida, Mtwara, Mwanza, Kigoma, and Zanzibar.

The Institute is authorized to hire 28 employees for transfer. As a result, the Institute is seeking applications from appropriately qualified public employees who would like to join TIA by way of transfer at the following address:

1. Lecture – Marketing – 3 POSTS

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To carry out seminars and instruction;
  2. To conduct independent study and take part in larger, multidisciplinary research initiatives;
  3. To compile training manuals and case studies;
  4. To mentor and oversee students as they develop their research and practical projects;
  5. To conduct independent research and take part in academic and scientific gatherings;
  6. To oversee educational initiatives;
  7. To oversee junior employees as they complete consulting assignments and work on consulting projects.
  8. To carry out any additional relevant tasks that your supervisor may assign you.

QUALIFICATION

Possessing a PhD in marketing and public relations, or any other relevant degrees from accredited universities to meet TIA requirements, with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.5 and a minimum graduate GPA of 3.8.

2. Lecture (Procurement and Logistics Management) – 1 POSTS

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To conduct independent study and take part in larger, multidisciplinary research initiatives;

QUALIFICATION

  • PhD holder in one of the following disciplines: transport and logistics with a focus on business administration, procurement and logistics management,
  • Production management, transport and distribution, store and warehouse management, and transportation from accredited schools with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.5 and a minimum graduate GPA of 3.8. The Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technician Board (PSPTB) registration is required.

3. Lecture – Accounts & Finance – 2 POSTS

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To compile training manuals and case studies;

QUALIFICATION

Holder of PhD in one of the following fields: Accountancy, Finance or any other related qualifications from recognized Institutions to suit TIA with a GPA of at least 3.5 at Undergraduate level and at least 3.8 at Master Degree.

4. Information Technology Officer (Network/System Administrators) – 2 POSTS

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To oversee the gathering, processing, and archiving of data in compliance with established information technology rules and procedures;
  • To store all ICT hardware, software, and associated materials securely;
  • To ensure appropriate usage of computer laboratories and to provide users with IT education
  • To oversee local network, website, and internet resources
  • To do out ICT equipment maintenance;
  • To monitor service provider invoices and bill payments;
  • To provide an appropriate and secure mechanism for purchasing ICT equipment;
  • Ensuring timely user access to labs and maintaining their distain and cleanliness;
  • To ensure that the power supply for ICT devices and associated operations is sufficient;
  • To take part in ICT-related subject instruction whenever the academic department requests it;
  • To carry out any additional tasks that the supervisor may designate.

EXPERIENCE

– Possess a recognized ICT professional certification, such as CCNA/CCNP/CEH/MCSA/MCSE, have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer technology, computer engineering, or informatics, have knowledge of the fundamentals of security, or have equivalent computer qualifications from recognized institutions and at least four (4) years of work experience in a related field.

5. Senior Procurement Officer – 2 POST

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To offer expert guidance on all issues pertaining to purchasing functions.
  • To oversee inventory management and control;
  • To maintain lists of tenders and procurement documents;
  • To examine and accept recurring reports on procurement;
  • To certify all purchases and maintain a record of them;
  • To oversee all agreements pertaining to the provision of products and services;
  • To run the systems and processes in stores;
  • To take part in the verification and inventory process; and
  • To carry out any additional relevant tasks that the supervisor may prescribe.

QUALIFICATION:

– Older of an advanced diploma or bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: material management, procurement and supplies management, business administration with a procurement and logistics management concentration, procurement and supplies management, professional level III certificate from the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technician Board (PSPTB), or equivalent credentials from accredited universities with a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant work experience. additionally need to be registered with PSPTB in the category of Approved Supplies Professional and hold a Certified Procurement and Supplies Professional (CPSP) credential or its equivalent.

6. Accounts Officer – 2 POSTS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To handle a range of accounting duties, such as accepting and disbursing checks and cash.
  • Posting and keeping ledger accounts balanced
  • Creating invoices and monitoring their payment
  • To keep thorough and precise accounting records.
  • To get trial balances ready.
  • To verify retirements and claims, making sure the right paperwork is attached.
  • To perform any additional relevant tasks that the supervisor assigns.
  • To carry out any additional relevant tasks that the supervisor may occasionally prescribe.

QUALIFICATION

– Possessing an advanced diploma or a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration/Commerce majoring in these fields, or comparable training from accredited universities, or the Intermediate Certificate (Module D) provided by the NBAA with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience

7. Record Management Assistant – 2 POSTS

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To verify the accuracy, completeness, and validity of data or information;
  2. to process, save, and get data back;
  3. To resolve disputes pertaining to maintaining records;
  4. To keep records (documents) and equipment safe;
  5. To assist in the creation of the Institute’s/Campus’s monthly, quarterly, and yearly records management report;
  6. To determine the tools the records management unit needs in order to function;
  7. To receive and deliver mail;
  8. To offer reprographic services;
  9. To keep up appropriate computer hardware handling and defect reporting.

QUALIFICATION

– Possessing a Form IV or VI Certificate plus Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Records Management, Archives, or a similar discipline, or equivalent credentials from an accredited university with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience.

8. Library Assistant – 2 POSTS

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To get book orders ready;
  2. To obtain fresh content;
  3. To distribute tasks associated with labor;
  4. In literature, to lend and receive;
  5. To do indexing and cataloging.
  6. To support the library’s publications acquisition and operation.
  7. To carry out any additional relevant tasks that your supervisor may assign you.

QUALIFICATION

– Possessing a diploma in any of the following subjects: documentation and information management, library and information studies, library and information science, library studies, or advanced secondary school education certificates, or equivalent credentials from an accredited university. Computer literacy is a prerequisite for the candidate.

9. DRIVER – 2 POSTS

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To follow traffic laws and drive the institution’s cars only to authorized locations;
  2. To check cars for problems both before and after travel, then turn in reports to the administration office detailing the state of the vehicles;
  3. To uphold, maintain, and update motor vehicle logbooks in compliance with established guidelines;
  4. To verify that the items and the car are always securely fastened and locked;
  5. To examine the car and report any issues to his or her reporting

QUALIFICATION

– A valid Class C or E driver’s license, the completion of an Advanced Driving Course in Grade II offered by the National Institute of Transport (NIT) or any other recognized institution, passing Trade Test II/Level II in Motor Vehicle Driving, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, or Auto-Electricity, and at least five (5) years of driving experience are required.
