Through the administration, management, and support of premier scientific projects that benefit both civilians and soldiers of the armed forces, we serve clients in the military, medical, academic, and government sectors. HJF has been an essential conduit between the military medical sector and its public and business partners since its establishment in 1983. The administrative capabilities and assistance provided by HJF enable military medical researchers and doctors to stay focused on their scientific objectives and pursue their research with excellence.

This position will be in support of HJF Medical Research International, Inc. Tanzania HJFMRI program.

Responsibilities

Work together in a selected region with the Monitoring and Evaluation team and other program staff to:
Track the accomplishment of targets at the regional and district levels and provide Data Managers with insights via DATIM and IMPACT dashboards.
Make certain that district and partner level standard monitoring and evaluation tools are available.
District data managers need to be mentored, coached, and overseen in order to guarantee high-quality data collection and reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis as well as adherence to reporting deadlines.
In order to find programmatic gaps and create solutions with the district team, keep an eye on the data collecting and management strategies currently in place.
Examine and evaluate district reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to find areas of difficulty in implementing programs and to improve communication and reporting standards.
Create data visualizations to monitor and assess the effectiveness of regional programs.

Required Knowledge:

Technical familiarity with data management guidelines and practices
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), DHIS2, DATIM, IMPACT, CTC2 database, pharmacy module, and other systems.
Able to function well under pressure and with a keen attention to detail.
The capacity to explain technical information to audiences who are not technical.
Outstanding proficiency in data management and data visualization.
The capacity to evaluate and interpret evidence in order to make decisions.
Capable of using other analytical tools, such as Tableau and GIS, and statistical analysis packages, such as SAS, STATA, SPSS, and EPI Info.
Outstanding organizational, relational, interpersonal, and communication abilities, including diplomacy, adaptability, multicultural communicative competency, and regard for coworkers.
The capacity to multitask and operate with little direction.
A track record of producing technical writing, including reports and proposals, and of giving cutting-edge presentations.
The capacity to communicate and adhere to deadlines and timelines.

Qualifications :

It is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, data management, epidemiology, public health, health sciences, or other related field.
Preferably a master’s degree in a comparable subject.
Three (3) years of experience in a comparable role is a minimum requirement.
Proficiency in planning and directing workshops, conferences, and training sessions.

Work Environment

This position will take place primarily in an office setting.

A background check that may include, but is not limited to, calling your professional references, confirming your prior employment, education, and credentials, running a criminal background check, and, if necessary, a department of motor vehicles (DMV) check, is a requirement for employment with HJF.
