Carrying out the duties of operating an MSF vehicle to transport approved goods and passengers, checking its technical and safety conditions, and adhering to national traffic and MSF security regulations in order to deliver a service that is efficient, safe, and smooth.
Qualification:
- Secondary School Minimum Education
- A valid driver’s license
- Certificates proving one’s proficiency in driving school
Experience:
- Crucial at least two years’ worth of prior driving experience
- Preferable background operating particular vehicles (4×4, boats, motorcycles, etc.)
- In MSF or other NGOs, desirable.
Languages:
- English and Swahili (fluent, oral & written) required.
Responsibilities:
- Making weekly checks in accordance with the MSF Logbook, checking the assigned vehicle’s mechanical conditions (tires, fuel, oil, brakes, radio equipment, spare parts, etc.) and keeping it clean to guarantee it can be driven in optimal condition. executing a handover in the event that someone else utilizes the car

- Ensuring that all passengers have the appropriate documentation before departing and that non-MSF employees sign releases of liability before using the vehicle
- Making sure the car is loaded and unloaded correctly, giving the paperwork to the person receiving the goods, monitoring the progress of delivery, sending the completed paperwork back to logistics, and making sure the items are carrying the required paperwork
- Confirming that the driver’s license and all vehicle paperwork are current and in the car.
- Reporting any event involving the movement of people or products to the line manager.
- Being familiar with all radio kinds, codes, call numbers, and radio alphabets by memory; conversing with base in accordance with MSF communications policy to apprise the driver of their position and any possible ramifications.
- Being aware of and observing the security regulations governing vehicle travel, particularly those pertaining to roadblocks, customs, and checkpoints.
