The Regional Finance Officer, working with a Regional Manager, is responsible for supervising the finance management and administrative functions in Kasulu while adhering to established protocols and guidelines. The location of this job will be in Kasulu. The capacity to manage a team and plan, organize, and supervise assigned office-related tasks are requirements for this role.
The role of the Regional Finance Officer at Water Mission entails creating a biblical worldview culture that fosters God-honoring excellence in all work. The Officer also pledges to provide accurate data, cultivate the necessary skills and mindset to view errors or problems as opportunities to find suitable solutions, and consistently strive for excellence in solutions that align with Water Mission’s mission, vision, values, and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and advise the finance and administrative team, cultivating a collaborative, accountable, and lifelong learning culture within a biblical framework.
- Make sure that procedures and safeguards are in place to guarantee the integrity and accuracy of the financial data.
- Oversee funding in the area by keeping tabs on receipts and outlays and submitting reports on time.
- In order to guarantee that management and development partners receive timely financial reports, update and post books of accounts in the accounting system.
- Lead by example, teach employees about internal controls, and offer assistance in comprehending, interpreting, and putting into practice set rules and procedures.
- Keep an eye on the various projects and programs’ operations and financial results while making sure they adhere to the relevant laws, Water Mission policies, and procedures.
Qualification:
- Alignment with the tenets of love, excellence, and integrity included in the Water Mission Statement of Faith.
- Fluent in Swahili and English.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or a similar discipline.
- An additional advance is ACCA / CPA (T), registered with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).
- Proficiency in leadership, mentoring, management, analytical, and organizational abilities, as evidenced by the capacity to operate both individually and collaboratively, set priorities, and oversee a range of tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities, including the capacity to cooperate, communicate, and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
- More than five years of non-profit financial management expertise.
- Grasp of the requirements for proper documentation and the steps required to guarantee audit compliance.
