Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI)

Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI) is a human development organization that operates without profit and is officially recognized as a Private Voluntary Organization (PVO 17/22). The goal of ZHI is to collaborate with pre-existing institutions to enhance them while creating and delivering high-impact, integrated health treatments that are innovative, sustainable, and beneficial to the communities we serve.

In order to support the government of Zimbabwe (GOZ) in controlling the epidemic, the Accelerated and Comprehensive HIV Care for Epidemic Control in Zimbabwe (ACCE) project aims to efficiently identify people living with HIV (PLHIV), ensure that all newly diagnosed PLHIV are immediately linked to treatment, and ensure that all PLHIV on treatment have ready access to antiretroviral therapy (ART), are kept on treatment, and maintain viral suppression. Nine districts in the Midlands (Gweru, Kwekwe, Mberengwa, and Gokwe South) and Manicaland (Makoni, Mutare, Chipinge, Mutasa, and Buhera) are implementing the initiative.

Responsibilities:

The intern will participate in a comprehensive, structured program under mentorship to gain an appreciation for a range of communication functions, including but not limited to: content creation; helping to create and edit communications materials, including newsletters, blog posts, press releases, and social media content;
Work together with team members to craft captivating stories that showcase the effect and mission of the ACCE project and organization;
Participation on social media, assistance with platform management (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).

Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, media and communications, or a closely related field.
Ought to have finished their education in the last two years.
An extra benefit is if you have completed at least a year of work-related training in the media and communications industry.
Possessing knowledge and comprehension of HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs is very advantageous.
