In order to support church partners in their efforts to minister to children and youth within their own context, this manager oversees a group of Partnership Facilitators who work together to strengthen local ownership.
Responsibilities:
- Keeps a close personal contact with Jesus. keeps a polite, Christlike demeanor when interacting with people both inside and outside of Compassion, remains a constant testimony for Jesus Christ, and faithfully supports Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
- Serves as an advocate to increase public understanding of children’s needs. recognizes the commandment from Christ to keep children safe. demonstrates a commitment to putting a high priority on child protection issues in all ministry-wide responsibilities, decisions, and activities. respects Compassion’s Code of Conduct and Statement of Commitment to Child Protection in all respects. utilizes Compassion’s internal reporting mechanism to report any concerns regarding the abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children, and provides the necessary support for any occurrences that may arise.
- Gives direct reports leadership and development opportunities. collaborates with employees to create a professional development atmosphere that is in line with compassion’s goals and tactics. Seek advice from senior leaders and peer management to effectively coordinate departmental priorities and resources within Compassion.
- Participates in, prepares, and oversees the department’s yearly budget and spending, maintaining accountability for the timely fulfillment of deliverables in accordance with departmental goals, SLAs, and other Compassion requirements, and guaranteeing adherence to board and regulatory policies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree is an added benefit; bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required.
- Relevant experience leading teams, overseeing and carrying out projects and grants, and interacting and building relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including the government, like-minded partners, and faith-based organizations.
- Certification in a related profession from an organization with national or international recognition.
- Experience and education listed above may be replaced with equivalent training, certification, and/or education.
