Founded in 2005, the University of Dar es Salaam comprises the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE). According to the 2010 Rules and the Dar es Salaam University College of Education Charter, the College’s primary responsibilities are to offer integrated teaching, research, and public services.
Situated in Temeke Municipality, Dar es Salaam Region, the College is situated on Plots 324 and 325 Block ‘T’ Chang’ombe, close to the recently constructed National Stadium and approximately 5 km away from the City Center via Kilwa Road. The total land area of the college is 52.97 acres. Additionally, the College holds 1.17 hectares of land on Plot No. 964/1 Block “V” in Mbagala. Because of its advantageous position close to the city center, the college offers chances for investment in a variety of fields.
In order to improve research, public service delivery, and teaching and learning, the College is accepting applications from eligible public servants who would like to transfer to DUCE.
Qualification:
- Possessing a Form IV Certificate of Secondary Education (Form Four), having completed at least four (4) years of work experience, and passing both the English and Kiswahili exams.
Responsibilities:
- To tidy and tidify the surroundings and offices;
- To gather and distribute correspondence;
- To mail a letter;
- To send formal correspondence between the College;
- To transport equipment or machinery;
- To prepare and provide refreshments for the office, etc.; and
- To carry out any additional relevant tasks that the supervisor may prescribe.
