University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM)
Tanzania’s oldest and most prestigious public institution is the institution of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). It occupies 1,625 acres atop the observation hill, which is renowned as Mlimani in Kiswahili, and is located 13 kilometers to the west of Dar es Salaam. As an affiliate institution of the University of London, it was founded on October 25, 1961, as the University institution Dar es Salaam (UCD). When it first opened in 1961, it was housed temporarily in the Tanganyika African National Union (TANU) building on Lumumba Street in Dar es Salaam. In 1964, it moved to its permanent home on the Hill.
In Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, there is a public institution called the institution of Dar es Salaam. It was founded in 1961 as a University of London affiliate college. Not long after Tanzania obtained independence from the United Kingdom in 1963, the university became an affiliate of the University of East Africa (UEA). UEA divided into three separate universities in 1970: the UDSM, the University of Nairobi in Kenya, and Makerere University in Uganda.

1. Records Officer II – 3 POSTS
Responsibilities:
- To support the process of locating and evaluating employee records for storage.
- To support the implementation of the records management system, encompassing usage, accessibility, and storage.
- To help locate and obtain pertinent records from archives and registries;
- Controls the use and storage of computer-generated documents in order to help control.
- To carry out any additional tasks that the direct supervisor assigns you.
Qualifications:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in records management, records and archives management, corporate information management, or a related field.
