is in charge of making sure MSF follows ethical employment practices across the mission, encourages appropriate HR management everywhere, and takes full responsibility for all administrative and legal matters pertaining to the mission.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the labor laws that are in effect in the mission nation; stay up to date on any changes made to these laws by periodically checking sources of legislation and/or scheduling regular meetings with a lawyer and other local authorities at this level;
- Familiarize yourself with all MSF policies, procedures, tools, standards, and principles pertaining to the working conditions, benefits, and compensation of all staff (national, international, regional, etc.); adapt them to the realities of the Mission; and guarantee an equitable, efficient, transparent, fair, and accountable implementation by all relevant staff throughout the Mission.
- Is in charge of making sure that all national employees’ employment contracts are properly followed and implemented, that internal policies are followed, and that all employees are employed in accordance with local laws and fair labor standards.
Qualification:
- A bachelor’s degree in law, human resources, business administration, or similar fields.
- Two years minimum of experience in a similar role.
- Working with NGOs has additional benefits.
- Proficiency in both Swhili and English is required.
