Making sure our food processing start-up facility runs well during designated shifts is the responsibility of the shift or production coordinator position. You will have direct responsibility for the Chief Operating Officer for managing a group of production operators, supervising production activities, and ensuring production efficiency and standards are met. In order to make our facility successful and further our expansion, your coordination and leadership abilities will be essential.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate production tasks throughout designated shifts, making sure that defined procedures and quality standards are followed.

- Assign duties and responsibilities to team members to ensure equitable distribution of the workload and efficient use of available resources. Work together with cross-functional teams in quality control, maintenance, and supply chain to guarantee smooth operations.
- Work together with the COO to put improvement plans into action that will save waste and boost output.
- Keep precise production records, recording incidents, production metrics, and remedial measures.
- When necessary, take the lead in putting emergency plans and crisis management techniques into action.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, food science, or a similar profession.
- Three years minimum of experience in a coordinating or supervisory capacity in the manufacturing or processing of food.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control methods, and food safety laws.
- Possessing knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques is advantageous.
- Proficiency with production management tools and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work any flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed to meet the facility’s operational requirements.
