An international development organization called ACDI/VOCA operates in more than 60 nations. The Feed the Future Tanzania Kilimo Tija (Horticulture Productivity) Project, which is being carried out in Tanzania by ACDI/VOCA with funding from USAID, intends to change Tanzania’s horticulture market system into one that is more dynamic, competitive, resilient, and inclusive in order to drive long-term growth and attract new market players.

Responsibilities:
- Work together with Project Specialists: To find business potential for youth and women-led initiatives, collaborate with professionals in finance, business, agronomy, and other sectors.
- Simplify Gender and Youth Activities: With the help of the Youth and Social Inclusion Manager, develop and put into place methods that will increase output and productivity in the project’s operational area.
- Database and Report Management: Create and organize reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Uphold a comprehensive database at the regional level to monitor output and the way in which women and youth participating in the KTP use inputs and services.
- Boost Youth and Gender Inclusion: Help partners and stakeholders incorporate and enhance youth and gender inclusion into the project.
Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in gender studies, sociology, community development, social work, or related subjects is a minimum requirement.
- Relevant Experience: Five years or more of experience addressing issues related to youth, gender, and social inclusion.
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience developing market systems, agribusiness, and increasing agricultural productivity as well as collaborating with the commercial sector to promote youth and gender concerns.
- Sector Knowledge: Knowledge of the agricultural and horticultural sectors in Tanzania.
- Willingness to Work in Rural Settings: The ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders, such as farmers, purchasers, financiers, etc., in a rural setting.
- Language Proficiency: Written and spoken English and Kiswahili fluency are prerequisites.
- Travel Capability: The capacity to travel to ZOI project locations.
