Supervising the creation of video content for news media sources will be your responsibility. Creating, organizing, and carrying out educational and entertaining video news pieces will be part of your job description. You will collaborate closely with editors, reporters, and other members of the production team to guarantee the prompt delivery of journalistically sound video content.

Responsibilities:

With an emphasis on mobile-first delivery, use audience analytics to improve news, features, and special project content strategies for YouTube and social media pages.
To describe the essential themes, visual components, and narrative structure of video news stories, create storyboards and scripts. Make ensuring that all written information is accurate, clear, and compliant with journalistic standards.
Create material outside of events and investigate subjects for Mwananchi Digital’s video news coverage. Keep up with newsworthy advancements, trends, and current affairs to find interesting tales for video creation.
Using video cameras, audio equipment, and lighting sets in a variety of shooting environments, obtain information and viewpoints for video news stories by conducting interviews with specialists.

Qualifications:

Journalism/mass communication bachelor’s degree.
correspondence or a comparable statement from an accredited organization. Three to five years of professional experience.
Proficiency in creating and distributing content for digital audiences through a variety of CMSs.
Video editing and sharing experience using MimoLivej, Final Cut, and Premier Pro.
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, motion graphics, animations, and visual effects (Blender, Adobe AE) would be advantageous.
