The Bank was established in 1967 following Tanzania’s government’s nationalization of all financial institutions, including banks. Six years later, in 1997, the National Bank of Commerce underwent a name change following changes to the banking industry in 1991.

With more than 50 years of experience, NBC is Tanzania’s oldest bank still in operation. We provide a variety of wealth management, retail, business, corporate, and investment banking products and services.

Responsibilities:

Reach predetermined asset targets by supervising and assisting a group of Relationship Officers and providing a comprehensive array of goods and services to SME customers.
Provide appropriate on-the-job training and coaching on the delivery of products and services to Relationship Officers in a proactive and professional manner to help them manage the client experience.
Foster a culture of empowerment among team members by promoting personal accountability and initiative.
Collaborate with the Risk Department to raise knowledge of the SME Banking Department’s financial sanctions, AML, and prohibitions on business activity rules.
Adhere to and stay updated on all policies, procedures, and circulars.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree, advanced diploma, diploma, or equivalent training in any relevant discipline, such as business admiration, accounting, finance, or economics
A minimum of two years’ experience in SMEs and leadership roles.
