Tanzania Cotton Board (TCB)

The Act of Parliament No. 2 of 2001 established the Tanzania Cotton Board, a legislative body tasked with regulating the expansion and long-term viability of the cotton subsector.

In particular, TCB handles government regulatory functions in the cotton subsector, such as monitoring compliance with cotton farming practices and laws, guaranteeing a consistent supply of agricultural inputs, preserving fair competition for cotton-related businesses, and gathering, analyzing, and providing information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

To assist in acquisition or supply control of given lines of stocks:
to support the forwarding and clearing processes;
to support the maintenance of records for all completed procurement tasks
to assist in carrying out the Tender Board’s duties;
to support the processing of procurement tenders in accordance with the policies and procedures of the authorized authority;
to keep an approved supplier list for goods provided locally and update it as needed;
to keep track of all contracts and oversee the delivery of ordered products;
to help with the quarterly report preparation; and
to carry out any additional relevant tasks that his or her supervisor may prescribe.

Qualifications:

Possessing a bachelor’s degree in logistics management, procurement and supplies management, materials management, or a related degree from an accredited university.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Ought to be a citizen of Tanzania;
Should not have any prior job experience in a field linked to their field of study and should have obtained formal qualifications such as a diploma, bachelor’s degree, or postgraduate degree from any accredited and respectable institution;
Should provide a transcript of grades or a degree;
Had to have finished their coursework no later than three years after the date of this advertisement;
