Kinondoni Municipal Council Football Club (KMC FC)

The council owns the Kinondoni Municipal Council Football Club (KMC FC), which is a registered limited company under The Companies Act of 2002. One of the sports teams taking part in the National Premier League is the KMC FC.

The Kinondoni Municipal Council is one of the five councils that make up the Dar es Salaam Region. The others are the Temeke Municipal Council, Ubungo, Kigamboni, and the City Council of Dar es Salaam. Under Government Notice No. 4 of 2000, the Office of the President, Regional Administration, and Local Governments formed the Kinondoni Municipal Council as a separate entity in accordance with the Urban Authorities (City Authorities) Act, Chapter 288.

Responsibilities:

Provides the CEO with advice on all Club administrative and financial issues;
Assemble plans and budgets from his subordinates for submission after assessing and combining them to create the annual plan and budget;
In order to ensure that financial resources are used properly, plan, organize, develop, and oversee financial policies, processes, and procedures using analytical techniques, national and international accounting standards, and other guidelines;
Create and oversee investment policies by evaluating internal and external variables to guarantee strategic financial management, which includes both short- and long-term investments that support Cub’s goals;
Oversee the Club’s entire administrative workload.
Supervise the Club’s Human Resources initiatives.

Qualifications:

Holders of a master’s degree in business administration, finance, commerce, or accounting with a focus on accounting or finance, or equivalent credentials from an accredited university, and who are registered with the NBAA as “Fellow” or “Associate” members and have worked in related fields for at least ten (10) years, five (5) of which must have been in senior administrative positions.
