China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering (CPP)

After finding crude oil in the Lake Albert region, Total Exploration and Development Uganda Limited (TEPU), CNOOC Uganda Limited (CUL), and the Ugandan government aim to develop and construct an oil pipeline to link the Kingfisher area’s production to the Buliisa-Nwoya area, where CPP crude oil is exported to the global market.

The 1,443-kilometer transnational long-distance pipeline construction project known as the Lake Albert construction Project includes the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project, which aims to deliver crude oil from Uganda to Tanga Port on Tanzania’s east coast.

Responsibilities:

Oversee a group of CLOs directly while establishing a cooperative and encouraging work atmosphere.
helping the Lot Social Lead make sure that every site performs and completes a social performance self-assessment.
Help the Lot Social Lead evaluate the effectiveness of CLOs and the site, and suggest areas for development.
Assign site leadership responsibilities for social performance issues and successfully inform site management of any observed social non-conformance and the necessary corrective action.
Monitor the accomplishment of grievance redress and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
Make sure that constructive connections are formed and upheld with important stakeholders and PAC.
Make sure that the necessary social performance reports and documentation are completed accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications:

Advanced degree in community development, sociology, social science, or a related field. It is preferred to have at least five years of experience building infrastructure or extractive industries.
An in-depth comprehension and hands-on experience with construction-related tasks, such as identifying social receptors, managing labor and working conditions, managing land access, cultural heritage, and creating and executing social risk and impact mitigations.
Strong computer, report-writing, and analytical abilities are needed, and a track record of paying attention to detail is crucial.
Proficiency in written and spoken Swahili and English is required; knowledge of other pertinent local languages is advantageous.
An advantage is being exposed to project social performance standards that are funded externally.
