Tanzania is home to NMB Bank Plc. (“NMB”), a full-service commercial bank.Through its three main business divisions—retail, wholesale, and Treasury—NMB offers a variety of financial services and products to individual customers, farmers, SMEs, corporations, institutions, and the government.
Assist the NMB Bank operations with legal matters, with a focus on litigation, security documents, and zonal advice.
Responsibilities:
- Create court filings and act as the bank’s legal representative.
- Oversee the zone’s ties with outside attorneys and make sure that any issues sent to them are appropriately handled.
- Give advice on any legal matters that the zone’s branches may be facing.
- Examine internal policies and papers to make sure the wording complies with relevant laws.
- Accountable for determining the legal hazards connected to the bank’s operations and suggesting countermeasures.
- Send monthly reports on the status of achieving the role’s objectives to the head of legal.
- Provide updates on legal matters impacting the bank’s operations to the Head of Legal or someone acting in that capacity.
- Preparing security paperwork for clients.
Qualifications:
- Law Bachelor’s Degree (LLB); Accredited Advocate
- Three years minimum of experience working as an active registered advocate in a legal setting, ideally in a financial institution.
