To help him/her acquire the requisite practical Mechanical Engineering abilities, expertise, sugar processing technologies, and management skills through a unique Engineer in-house Training Program. The candidate will work as a trainee mechanical engineer in the manufacturing department and must be a motivated individual.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out every mechanical task in the manufacturing division.
- In charge of organizing, planning, supervising, managing, and leading.
- Complete any work that the mentor may assign you.
- Creating reports on a monthly basis.
- Makes presentations for projects ready.
- During the off-crop, oversee and manage all mechanical work on unusual projects.
- Provide technical support for plant upgrades and specifications.
- Continue to effectively interact with important providers of engineering and maintenance service levels.
- Encourage a culture of regular risk assessment and push for ongoing operational improvement.
- Perform routine exercises both inside and outside. benchmarking studies to find and create engineering best practices and areas for development.
- Encourage adherence to Kilombero Sugar Co Ltd’s processes, rules, and regulations, particularly those pertaining to SHERQ (safety, health, environment, risk, and quality).
Qualifications:
- Mechanical engineering B.Sc. or a comparable degree from an accredited university.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Ability to communicate well in Swahili and English.
- Prepared to put in a lot of overtime.
- Good bodily and mental wellbeing.
- Listed as a Graduate Engineer at ERB
- A strong desire to be successful in a high-pressure setting.
