In relation to Large-scale industrial and agricultural enterprises are run by KSCL in six African countries: Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Eswatini, South Africa, and Malawi. It is a part of the Illovo Sugar Africa Group, which is Africa’s biggest producer of sugar. The chosen applicant will be in charge of running the feed table station and performing maintenance during planned stops, breakdowns, and off-crops.
Responsibilities:
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs on the cane table station and its general components. During the crushing season, it also handles machine and part breakdowns.
- Carries out the procedure for operating the cane table station.
- Physical examination to ensure that the machines are operating normally.
- During the operation, make sure to stay in contact with all pertinent parties.
- Make sure the DRD and cane crush objective are met according to schedule.
- Makes sure that all established lockout protocols are followed, guaranteeing the safety of both people and equipment.
- Ensures efficient communication on all issues by promptly reporting them to the appropriate authorities.
- Before turning on the cane tables, feeder drum, and cane kickers, make sure you inspect and discuss the safety and condition of the equipment.
- Carries out any further tasks that are delegated by appropriate authority
Qualification:
- Form four (IV) qualification in fitter mechanics from an accredited institution, together with TTCG.
- Expertise in the upkeep and repair of plant gear.
- A minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing-related work experience.
