Embassy of Tanzania in The Hague Netherlands

In addition to serving as the United Republic of Tanzania’s official representation in the Netherlands, the Embassy is accredited by the International Criminal Court (ICC), the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), and the International Court of Justice. It is also responsible for fostering amicable relations and cooperation between the governments and peoples of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Netherlands.

The Embassy of Tanzania in The Hague is seeking a qualified Hygienic Attendant/Cleaner on a part-time basis starting in July 2024 for a duration of twelve (12) months, with the option of extension. The application deadline is June 15, 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Mopping, cleaning, and sanitizing driveways, windows, counters, floors, and restrooms.
• Dusting light fixtures, countertops, ceilings, and slack furniture.
• Sinks, kitchen fixtures, toilets, and all other pertinent surfaces should be cleaned, scrubbed, and sanitized.
• Cleaning and drying windows, as well as emptying garbage cans
• Communicating with the Administrative Attaché to make sure cleaning supplies are always available and to let them know about any necessary repairs.
• Taking extra care when handling all furniture and appliances, and reporting any breakages that happen while cleaning.
• Vacuuming any dirty surface, including upholstery and carpets; and
• Updating and cleaning the Chancery’s external environment.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Dutch citizen in good standing.
• Having a high school degree or its equivalent is beneficial.
• Demonstrated expertise in a related position and the ability to finish projects on schedule with no guidance.
• Capable of using a wide range of cleaning supplies and tools.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and in good physical condition.
• Able to work mornings (and, if necessary, evenings and weekends).
• Fluency in Dutch, Kiswahili, and English for communication will be valued as an asset.
• Excellent client care and a high standard of secrecy and integrity.
• Kind and focused on the team.

• Regular wage plus additional compensation for overtime.
