Responsibilities:
- Oversee, inspire, and train every member of the planning team.
- Organize information, prioritize tasks and goals, create effective plans of action, define priorities, and carry out daily duties with a focus on high output and economical use of labor and equipment.
- Make sure that the planning systems’ data quality is consistently of the highest caliber and is promptly maintained.
- Retain and strengthen the goodwill and connections with departments, vendors, and consumers both internal and external.
- providing them with guidance, information, support, consultation, and counseling with last matters and plans.
- Establish and uphold performance standards for reporting staff in collaboration with the manager/head of operations.
- Together with the coordinators of equipment training, oversee the training operator program. Additionally conferring with the manager of direct reporting to guarantee that the workforce receives testing and training
Qualifications:
- Requires a college degree in logistics, operations management, or a similar field, as well as a high school diploma and at least two years of extra work experience. It is preferred to have a college degree.
- Requires a minimum of ten years of experience in a terminal operations setting, either as a coordinator, planning supervisor, or in a related role.
- Requires in-depth understanding of marine berth handling, vessel berthing location, management and traffic of vessel movements, and berthing ships.
- Needs in-depth understanding of personnel and equipment planning
- Requires knowledge of yard strategy and vessel/yard planning.
- Requires extensive familiarity with operational procedures and TOS, including Navis, Zodiac, etc.
- Need extensive familiarity with the documentation and berthing planning process.
- Requires knowledge of vessel and yard operations, as well as planning for vessel stowage.
