Established by government order in 2007, Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) is a public service broadcaster that took over Taasisi ya Utangazaji Tanzania (TUT), the previous name of Tanzania Broadcasting Services, on July 1st, 2007. TUT was founded in 2002 as a result of Government Notice No. 23 of June 14, 2002, and Public Corporation Act No. 2 of 1992. Radio Tanzania Dar es Salaam (RTD), founded in 1972, and Television ya Taifa (TVT), founded in 1999, merged to form this organization.
Responsibilities:
- To perform a technological task
- To maintain the cleanliness of the workspaces and workshop tools and equipment;
- Under the guidance of an experienced technician, perform servicing and maintenance on technical equipment.
- In order to measure the site and generate a sketch drawing,
- To organize, maintain, mend, and oversee equipment used in telecommunications,
- To oversee the inspection of the tools, machinery, and plants used in the telecommunications workshop,
- To carry out research and create a budget for telecommunications equipment maintenance,
- To compile reports based on workshop instruments, machinery, and plants’ preventive maintenance for telecommunication.
Qualifications:
- Possessing a diploma or full technical certificate (FTC) in any of the following fields: mechanical, electrical, mechanical and/or electronics engineering, telecommunication engineering, or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
