Sotta Mining Corporation Limited (Sotta), a new joint venture company formed by Nyanzaga Mining Company Limited (NMCL) and the Government of Tanzania (GoT), is developing the Nyanzaga Gold Project (Nyanzaga or the Project), which is located in the southern part of the Lake Victoria Gold Fields in northwestern Tanzania. Nyanzaga is located in Sengerema District, Tanzania’s Mwanza Region. The project location is roughly 60 kilometers southwest of Mwanza.

Roles and Responsibilities

Enhance the ability to discover, recommend, and improve the company’s procurement service in an efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Promptly detect and resolve procurement-to-payment difficulties.
Acting as a resource and support for the Purchasing team on all topics relevant to achieving optimal performance;
Ensure that department activities are consistent with procurement policy and meet the requirements.
Ensure procurement officers have enough resources and a conducive working environment.
Build good relationships with the mining commission and other government agencies to ensure compliance with local content rules.
Direct direction of buying workers.
Custodian of local material and all law requirements associated with it.

Qualification

Degree in Materials Management, Commerce, Accounting, or Procurement from an authorized institution.
Registered Professional in Supplies and Procurement (CPSP) with the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining or equivalent sectors.
