African Union (AU)

The 55 member states that make up the African Continent’s nations are members of the African Union (AU), a continental organization. In 2002, it was formally established to replace the Organization of African Unity (OAU, 1963-1999).

The OAU’s primary goals were to eradicate the last remnants of colonization and apartheid from the continent, to strengthen African states’ unity and solidarity, to plan and intensify their development cooperation, to protect their territorial integrity and sovereignty, and to foster international cooperation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the preparation of court-covered travel documents and paperwork required to pay transportation costs and allowances (such as air tickets, excess transport claims, terminal service fees, daily subsistence allowances, etc.).
  • Aids in confirming the legitimacy, accuracy, and completeness of travel documents before sending them to the finance service.
  • Assists in coordinating all travel-related and transportation-related matters (money matters, visas, other paperwork) with finance, protocol, and administrative services.
  • Make sure the power generators and court vehicles are maintained.
  • Make sure that staff and other authorized participants travel officially during missions, when they assume their duties, and when their service comes to a conclusion.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual trip reports on a regular basis.
  • Control of Rented Automobiles during Official Proceedings and Jurisdiction Sessions.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in management, administration, transport and travel, or a related field combined with at least two years of relevant work experience in a comparable role, ideally in a multinational corporation

OR

  • Three (3) years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, ideally in an international organization, together with a diploma in management, administration, transport and travel, or related subjects.

Required Skills:

  • Interpersonal abilities and capacity for high-pressure job in a multicultural setting;
  • Public relations and communication
  • organizing and planning abilities;
  • Familiarity with global organizations;
  • Computer literacy, which includes familiarity with the Materials Management Modules of ERP-SAP.
