In 1956, Bank of Baroda made its entry into Tanganyika, where it stayed until financial institutions were nationalized in February 1967. At the time of nationalization under the Arusha declaration, the Bank operated three branches: one each in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, and Moshi. In October 2004, the bank returned to contribute to the welfare of the people of the United Republic of Tanzania and the nation’s economic progress.
The Bank serves clients from all walks of life and offers complete financial services. In addition to providing other banking services, the bank finances traders, manufacturers, retailers, individuals, staff members of reputable businesses, organizations, government agencies, SMEs, etc.
Responsibilities:
- They will be in charge of the departments of credit and credit monitoring.
- Manage the bank’s credit operations, including the risk and compliance involved.
- Keeping an eye on and contributing to the growth of the bank’s credit portfolio.
- Management business strategy implementation.
Qualifications
- The candidate must meet the minimal requirements of a graduate degree in one of the following fields: credit, banking, or finance and accounting. Higher qualified candidates are welcome to apply, and their applications will receive the appropriate consideration.
- The candidate must be well knowledgeable about pricing, credit analysis, and appraisal.
- The candidate must be proficient in credit monitoring and screening.
- The candidate must have at least five years of managerial experience in banking, preferably in areas such as operations, credit, or treasury.
- Strong analytical abilities, strong leadership and organizational abilities, outstanding communication skills, and a knack for problem-solving are required of candidates.
- The candidate will be expected to plan, coordinate, oversee, and manage the day-to-day operations of the bank’s credit department.
