In order to oversee the digital production team in producing customized content for social media on various social networks, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others, including short form video, images, infographics, and other pertinent forms, BBC Media Action is looking for a senior producer, social media.

should use creative social media content promotion strategies that are appropriate for each individual platform. to interact with influencers and online groups in order to start discussions on social media. Develop the ability of digital producers to provide exceptional social media content, including managing individual team members. to guarantee that all social media content posted on BBC Media Action Tanzania’s social media channels complies with the organization’s production, editorial, and safeguarding standards. To guarantee that Tanzania’s socioeconomic, cultural, and gender diversity are reflected in social media content.

Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for approving all content posted on BBC Media Action Tanzania’s social media networks, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others, in compliance with the project’s goals, editorial standards, information security, and production requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring that material is developed and produced by the social media production team for a range of social media platforms and subjects. Writing, editing, recording, and posting content on different social media sites could be part of this.
• Responsible for developing and putting into action social media initiatives, content strategies, and relationships with influencers that work to build community and engagement around the BBC Media Action Tanzania social media channels.

Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, or a related field with three years of professional experience creating content for a range of media platforms and formats.
• A minimum of three years of experience making senior-level editorial decisions, together with writing and production skills earned from substantial work in a media or other content-creation organization that specializes in social media. interaction with social media influencers and a quantifiable professional social media presence on one’s own platform.
• Outstanding senior-level social media manager with a proven ability to create visually appealing social media formats, content, and campaigns.
• The ability to act justly, resolve conflicts when necessary, and effectively manage a team.
