Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED)

The Campaign for Female Education, or CAMFED, is well-known throughout the world as a pioneer in girls’ education, a proponent of women’s empowerment and girls’ education at the highest levels, and a policy and practice advocate for child safety. Established in 1993, CAMFED provides assistance to young women as they progress through elementary and secondary education, pursue further education and skills in the economy, and assume leadership roles as advocates, activists, and donors. With a base in Dares Salaam, CAMFED Tanzania is hiring a Program Manager for Advocacy, Policy, and Partnerships (one), a Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer (one), and a Communication Officer (one).

In order to strictly comply with CAMFED’s child protection requirements, to support the Communications in all parts of work, including classifying, preparing, and editing digital content for publication in internal and external communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Visibility of CAMFED work in communications:
  • Create packets of communications for various occasions.
  • Oversee the creation of content for documentaries, film and photo shoots, and video production.
  • Create best practices and case studies to support the efforts of CAMFED Tanzania.
  • Create an online photobank for CAMFED so that images can be used indefinitely.
  • When necessary, instruct other employees on procedure and communication difficulties. communicating with the district team members to decide which settings and materials to distribute.
  • Ensuring adherence to donors’ branding, CAMA, and CAMFED.
  • Organize forums and gatherings to discuss CAMFED’s activities, such as national and international holidays.
  • Guaranteeing the safety and protection of children during the program’s implementation
  • Composing and sharing news, blogs, case studies, and articles for the website and Medium profile.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in social sciences, mass media, or journalism.
  • Experience in reporting, documentation, and graphic design, or a related profession.
  • Expertise collaborating with national and international media
  • Speaking Kiswahili and English with ease
  • Capacity to operate both individually and collaboratively, with excellent communication and detail-oriented abilities.
  • Experience gained by working for the government.
