College of Business Education (CBE)

The College of Business Education (CBE) is a public higher education establishment that offers teaching, research, and consultancy services in many business-related topics, including accountancy, procurement and supplies management, marketing management, metrology and standardization, and information and communication technology.

Applications for volunteer roles at the College of Business Education CBE are being accepted from Tanzanians who meet the requirements and have the necessary expertise.

Open Positions and Description:

Internship Opportunities (2) – Tanzania

1. ICT Officer 1 – POST

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. to coordinate, mentor, and assist college employees in the creation and editing of web material;
  2. To choose and put into practice a content management system (CMS) that offers features like template generation, security and approval levels, a WYSIWYG content editor, versioning, content scheduling, and more;
  3. giving employees guides and instruction in both technical and user areas;
  4. To develop systems that allow employees to make and manage their own online personas; v. To offer technical guidance and direction to team and department members by mentoring and setting an example;
  5. to efficiently collaborate with teammates, superiors, and other departments;
  6. gathering and getting ready content for the website;
  7. To carry out and evaluate the design, programming, testing, debugging, systems analysis, and documentation for all projects pertaining to websites;

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as web development, computer science, information technology, or communications;
  • In overseeing the creation of intricate websites;
  • A minimum of three years’ experience managing social media and web content, ideally in a university, college, or other setting where duties included developing, managing, and maintaining content;

2. Marketing Officer – 1 POST

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To support the College’s regular marketing and public relations initiatives;
  2. To aid in creating a system that will allow alumni to collaborate closely with the college to realize its goal;
  3. To raise the public perception of the college in order to increase visibility;
  4. Overseeing the College’s social media account and reporting on patterns and data on all media channels;
  5. To create and carry out College marketing initiatives;
  6. Organizing, publicizing, and promoting college events via media platforms, such as social media;
  7. To interact and work together with stakeholders to sell and advertise College goods and services; and
  8. To carry out any additional relevant tasks that the supervisor assigns

QUALIFICATIONS

Possess a bachelor’s degree in any of the following: business administration in marketing, bachelor of commerce in marketing, public relations and marketing, public relations and advertising, or marketing and marketing management. Candidates must be graduates of accredited schools.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and no older than thirty years old;
  • Each applicant must turn in a signed letter of application;
  • A current Curriculum Vitae (CV) with dependable connections, including a mailing address and postcode, email address, and phone number, must be attached.
  • On the basis of the information provided in this advertisement, applicants should apply;
  • The following certificates, in certified copy, must be attached by the applicants: –

• Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates; Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma transcripts;

  • Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates;
    • Birth certificate; and
    • National Identification Card.
  • Attaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted: – 
    • Form IV and form VI results slip;
    • Testimonials and all Partial transcripts; 
  • An applicant should indicate three reputable referees with reliable contacts; 
  • Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education should be verified by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA);
  • Professional certificates from Foreign Universities and other training institutions should be verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and National

Council for Technical Education (NACTVET);

  • It is recommended that an applicant with support needs or a disability indicate;
  • The date of the interview will only be communicated to the shortlisted candidates;
  • Legal action will be required upon the presentation of falsified certificates and other information;
