In order to accomplish departmental goals, the equipment department’s sales director will collaborate closely with the chief executive officer and upper management. They will be directly in charge of creating and promoting equipment sales excellence, optimizing workflows, and promoting a continuous improvement culture.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: create and carry out initiatives that are in line with the aims and objectives of the business.
  • Establish reasonable yet ambitious forecasts, and reject monthly goals.
  • Lead the sales staff and make wise repairs.
  • Market goals in accordance with the equipment department’s budget, inspire and track the sales team’s performance.
  • Keep an eye on the sales team’s scheduled routes.
  • Organize meetings for the purpose of improving the performance of the sales staff, and invite manufacturers to provide product training.
  • Recognize and oversee various onshore and offshore financial solutions so that you may present customized offerings to customers and prospects.
  • Visit clients, provide a proposition that meets their needs, demonstrate your ability to provide a range of financing options (bank financing, operational leases, offshore financing), and close transactions.
  • Put in place a suitable prospecting and sales management system to guarantee that any prospective client is followed up with.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration or equivalent coursework in business administration.
  • Minimum of five to ten years of experience in the automotive industry, with prior exposure to the Chinese equipment and commercial vehicle industries.
  • Solid familiarity with Tanzania’s equipment market.
  • Capacity to offer financial assistance.
  • Strong adaptability to create offerings that are customized for each client.
  • Experience in leadership and management.
  • Proficient in Swahili and English.
