A health group called Doctors with Africa – CUAMM works on health initiatives to support the availability of high-quality healthcare, particularly for the most disadvantaged. CUAMM specializes in creating initiatives that build health systems, paying special attention to the needs of women and children and customizing them to the unique requirements of the nations in which the organization implements its programs. “Improving Maternal and Neonatal Healthcare (AID 012519/01/1)” is the project name.The “IMaNHC – Improving Maternal and Neonatal Healthcare (AID 012519/01/1)” project is presently being carried out by CUAMM. This project is part of Kenya’s, Tanzania’s, and Uganda’s development agendas, and it is funded by the Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development. Building on regional prospects and best practices, its goal is to deliver efficient EmONC services as close to the clients as feasible. With the technical assistance and close cooperation of the Ministry of Health Zanzibar, Centro Salute Globale – Center for Global Health, CMSR (Community Mobilization for Reciprocal Development), and other partners, CUAMM is in charge of carrying out project operations in Zanzibar.
Responsibilities:
- Work together with the PM and the Country Office to make sure that project activities in Zanzibar are carried out correctly and on schedule by using appropriate planning and monitoring.
- Assuring proper project administration, accounting, and financial management in conjunction with the Country Office, with respect to the efficient, effective, and transparent use of available financial resources and complete adherence to all applicable national and international standards.
- To maintain ongoing dialogue and cooperation with various Zanzibar stakeholders (such as the government and development partners) in order to foster advocacy and lobbying efforts aimed at securing the accomplishment of project goals and CUAMM activities as a whole.
- To make sure the project’s monitoring plan is operating as intended, guaranteeing timely reporting and an efficient flow of data.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in social work, community development, health systems management, accounting, administration, and other relevant subjects. A master’s degree is an extra benefit.
- A minimum of three years of project management and/or administrative job experience.
- Must possess a clean driving record, be a safe driver, and have a valid driver’s license.
- Prior involvement with foreign NGOs is advantageous.
- Living in Unguja is advantageous.
- It is necessary to speak and write Swahili and English fluently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Internet is necessary.
- Structure of Hierarchies in the CUAMM Organogram.
