Dar es Salaam As of January 1, 2024, Tumaini University (DarTU), formerly known as Tumaini University Dar-es-Salaam College (TUDARCo), is a fully accredited university.

On October 26, 2023, the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) accredited DarTU. It is situated in Dar es Salaam’s Mwenge Light Industrial Area along Coca Cola Road. This advertisement is part of the University’s efforts to enhance its human resource base in teaching, research, and consulting services, as it has evolved into a dynamic and competitive higher education institution.

Qualifications:

In addition to having a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and being registered with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) as a Certified Public Accountant with at least fourteen years of work experience in a large, reputable firm, prospective candidates should also hold a Master’s degree in finance or business administration, or its equivalent. In addition, they must to possess a good experience in International Financial Reporting and Auditing Standards and be a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).

Responsibilities:

Create a work schedule and audit schedules;
Obtain the necessary information immediately by looking through records or speaking with employees;
Verify that the University complies with all laws, rules, policies, and procedures;
Examine how effective company procedures are;
Review and analyze the management control system to determine its efficacy and suitability, and where necessary, create suggestions for improvement;
Verify that, in compliance with university policy, stores keep an inventory of furniture, equipment, and other movable assets;
Assist in the evaluation of internal controls and processes and evaluate the dependability and efficiency of internal controls;
Draft sections of correspondence and reports detailing the outcomes of the work completed;
Examine and assess the accounting practices and system;
Examine the accuracy of the payables and receivables as of the audit period;
