Its goal is to combat poverty by promoting development, lifelong learning, and education. DVV International is searching for a qualified applicant for the role of Country Project Account in finance and administrative operations.
Under the guidance of the Regional Finance Manager and the management of the Regional Director East/Horo Africa DVV International, the Country Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the organization’s daily financial accounts and administrative tasks. These tasks will include working on project planning and budgeting, preparing financial reports, maintaining the organization’s accounts in compliance with donor guidelines and DVV International, making sure the NGO complies with all national fiscal requirements regarding tax, etc., assisting partners in ensuring financial compliance, managing staff payroll processes, and participating in annual audit procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Creating monthly/quarterly predictions and the annual budget.
- Creating funding bids and project activity budgets
- Administration and evaluation of partner fund requests and financial reports.
- Monitoring the project’s financial balance on a regular basis and safeguarding the organization’s liquidity position.
- Make sure that HQ receives all pertinent financial records on a regular basis.
- As they come up, create budgets for seminars and other transient events.
- When needed, provide assistance to the Regional Finance Manager and support the function office with any other associated financial concerns.
Requirements:
- A minimum of three years’ experience working for INGOs in a corresponding capacity in the field of development. Experience as an accountant collaborating with governmental and civil society partners
- Extensive knowledge of the IPSAS reporting and accounting system.
- High level of computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong familiarity with accounting software on computers.
- Extensive familiarity with and comprehension of Tanzanian administrative, fiscal, and bureaucratic frameworks and laws. Features
