QUALIFICATIONS:

FTC in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or VETA Trade Test Certificate Grade One or Level Three in Motor Vehicle Mechanics.
A mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, will be advantageous.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of three years’ experience working as a mechanic on mining equipment, such as excavators, D10T dozers, 16M graders, CAT 785C, RH 170, and other UG equipment.
A valid Tanzanian driver’s license is a must.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Performing efficient mechanical inspections and repairs on the machinery in accordance with the job package during preventive and regular daily inspections
Driving oneself to the field to react to equipment malfunctions and promptly submit supervisor input.
Make every effort to minimize breakdowns and complete a large amount of planned work.
Meet the MTTR and complete HME testing, troubleshooting, and adjustment within the allotted time.
Uphold safety regulations and act as a teammate’s defender.
Operates with little supervision
Independently driven and disciplined
Steer clear of causing disputes inside the group.
Works in accordance with “Anglo Gold Ashanti”‘s ethical and compliance guidelines.
Maintain open lines of communication with the team, other cross-functional departments, and GGM as a whole.
