Leading African research institution Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) has a proven track record of creating, evaluating, and verifying health-related technologies. The Institute’s work today covers a wide range, including biological and ecological sciences, intervention studies, health-systems research, and policy translation. It is driven by a core strategic mission for research, teaching, and services.
A competent Research Officer is needed by the IHI to join the Insectary in Bagamoyo. In compliance with established procedures, they will oversee the execution of the study’s assigned stages and guarantee the timely and satisfactory production of high-quality data and reports, meeting sponsor requirements and adhering to GLP standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help in creating the study strategy or protocol and helping to modify it as needed.
- Make sure that all participating study personnel have access to and follow study plans, modifications, and SOPs.
- Make sure that the study plan’s processes are followed. If there are any deviations from SOPs or study plans while the study is being conducted, let the study director know and take the necessary corrective action.
- Make sure that every raw data generated is accurately and completely documented.
- Help with the final report’s authoring and make sure the data is legitimate and adheres to GLP guidelines.
- As instructed by the project manager or test facility manager, prepare and deliver written and spoken reports.
Qualification and Experience:
- Biology bachelor’s degree in science
- Proficiency in STATA data analysis
- Proficiency in GLP research and report composition
- Phase I trials
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and writing communication abilities,
- The capacity to operate both individually and as a team,
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is one of the computer skills. abilities with STATA, etc.
