For the benefit of everybody, IOM is dedicated to promoting humanitarian and orderly migration. It does this by providing governments and refugees with support and advice.

Open Position and Description:

1. National Human Resources Officer – 1 Position

Responsibilities:

  • In light of the office’s operational activities and in compliance with the organization’s rules, instructions, policies, procedures, and practices, oversee and coordinate the HR department’s management.
  • Check that all activities and processes related to human resources comply with applicable IOM policies and regulations. Make sure that all relevant IOM policies and procedures are adhered to via Human Resources processes and procedures.
  • Help establish and put into practice efficient administrative processes and internal controls; evaluate audit suggestions about HR-related issues and organize and carry them out.
  • Engage in the assessment and planning of workforce requirements; efficiently, effectively, and transparently manage national and international hiring procedures.
  • Ensure that the PRISM Human Resources modules are administered effectively; supervise and verify the data entered into PRISM; and accurately perform the tasks allocated to you.

Qualifications :

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, psychology, human resources, or a similar discipline combined with two years of relevant work experience; or,
  • A master’s degree in the mentioned discipline or one similar.

EXPERIENCE

  • Adept at using Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and Outlook; prior SAP expertise is definitely advantageous;
  • Ability to pay close attention to details and arrange documentation methodically;
  • Tactful, meticulous, client-focused, patient, and open to learning new things; and,
  • An advantage is previous job experience in a multicultural environment with non-governmental, government, or international humanitarian organizations.
