Prisons Corporation Sole (PCS) and Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF) collaborated to form Kilimanjaro International Leather Industries Company Limited (KLICL). The company was founded in accordance with the second five-year development plan (FYDP II), which aims to guarantee Tanzania’s industrialization and transition to a middle-income economy by 2025.
On May 30, 2017, the KLICL company was incorporated and given Certificate of Incorporation number 135503. The company’s mission is to “produce, distribute, and sell quality leather, sole, and leather products at a reasonable and competitive price using quality raw materials, modern technology, qualified personnel, and highest standards of quality control.” The company’s vision is to “be a model producer and market leader in leather and related products.”
Responsibilities:
- In your capacity as Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all KLICL operations, including strategic leadership in the creation of the company’s financial strategies and programs and the implementation of plans and policies that have been approved by the board.
- Assure the timely and accurate creation of high-quality quarterly, biannual, and annual reports that accurately reflect the company’s financial and technical standing and are submitted to the board.
- Execute sustainable plans and provide the Board with guidance on KLICL sustainability as a whole, including plans for boosting output, income, and human resource efficiency.
- Improve and/or design company policies and processes, put them into effect, and enforce them using systems that will increase the company’s overall effectiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- A graduate of an accredited university with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, finance, economics, public administration, or a related discipline. A bonus is having training in leather processing and technology.
- Seasoned business executive with a minimum of ten years of work experience, five of those years spent in senior management and with administrative expertise. An extra benefit is experience with technology and leather processing.
- Show that you can successfully manage senior management and that you have the ability to carefully handle difficult and delicate situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are essential for interacting with all pertinent parties.
- Strong managerial and leadership abilities.
- Strong abilities in initiating and promoting company change through change management.
- Demonstrated abilities and dedication to outcomes.
- The capacity to recognize and interpret intelligence and market trends.
