Private Agriculture Sector Support Trust (PASS Trust)

Leading the finance and accounting staff to guarantee the Trust’s efficient financial management and integrity will be the responsibility of the Manager of Finance and Accounts at PASS Trust Tanzania.

They will be in charge of all financial operations, including cash flow management, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance, and they will answer directly to the Director of Finance and Administration. The position will be critical to the financial viability and expansion of PASS Trust, requiring a strategic perspective, strong leadership abilities, and knowledge of finance.

Responsibilities:

To ensure financial sustainability and growth, develop and implement financial strategies in line with the goals and objectives of the company.
Oversee the yearly budgeting process and collaborate closely with department leaders to create precise and reasonable budgets. Track the effectiveness of the budget and offer analysis to aid in decision-making.
Make sure that all stakeholders, including the board of trustees, funders, and internal management, receive accurate and timely financial reports that adhere to the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
Effectively convey financial information and offer insights to aid in decision-making.
Effectively manage cash flow to satisfy operational demands, maximize the utilization of financial resources, and put policies in place to reduce financial risk and preserve liquidity.
Create weekly reports on cash flow and projections, then share them with the executive committee so that decisions can be made.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a similar discipline
An MBA or master’s degree in accounting or finance is advantageous.
It is preferred to have professional accounting designations (CPA-T, CMA, ACCA, etc.).
Five (5) years or more of steadily increasing experience in accounting and financial positions.
A minimum of five (5) years of managing experience.
Preference is given to prior management or supervisory experience.
Expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Familiarity with IFRS reporting requirements and regulatory compliance.
