Chinese-Tanzania Joint Shipping Company (SINOTASHIP)
Founded in 1967 as a joint venture shipping company between the governments of the United Republic of Tanzania and the People’s Republic of China, the Chinese-Tanzania Joint Shipping Company (SINOTASHIP) is headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The SINOTASHIP company’s principal operations include transporting cargo and passengers by ship or boat between China and Tanzania, as well as to any other locations it may decide to visit from time to time, and carrying out any other tasks that the company deems reasonably related to achieving the aforementioned goal or incidental to achieving the above object.
Responsibilities:
- To put into practice the company’s operating policies as established by the board of directors.
- To put the recommendations that the Board of Directors approved into practice.
- Should deliver the company’s plans, summaries, and balance sheet to the board of directors no later than one month prior to the board’s annual meeting.
- To offer ideas and recommendations to the Board of Directors for enhancing the Company’s operations.
- To carry out the Company’s business cooperatively and to represent the Company in all commercial dealings.
- To formally sign standard business documents in the Company’s name.
Qualifications:
- Possessing a bachelor’s and master’s degree in transportation, economics, management, commerce, or shipping, as well as seven (7) years of professional experience in the transportation industry or in institutions affiliated to the maritime industry.
- Master Mariner with a shore-based master certificate in hand. over five years of work experience.
